Trustee

Transforming Choice is a charity providing residential alcohol detox and rehabilitation based in Liverpool. We provide a safe environment in which our clients are able to begin their healing process, overcome addictions, and rediscover themselves, setting the foundations for a happier life, free of alcohol and other substances. We work primarily with people from homeless or vulnerably housed backgrounds, although our client base is diverse in terms of experience and circumstances.

Broadly, the role of our trustees is to ensure we maintain a clear mission and are focused in our delivery of it, ensuring Transforming Choice complies with all regulatory requirements, work alongside the directors to contribute to the charity’s performance, and to ensure the charity is governed to a high standard.

We are seeking people who align with our values, mission and ethos to join our board of trustees as we deliver our 2030 plan. We welcome expressions of interest from all who feel they can contribute to the development and progress of our organisation, but we are particularly looking for trustees who have experience in:

  • Housing
  • Adult Social Care
  • Public Health

We are committed to equality and diversity, and so particularly welcome expressions of interest from women and people from non-white backgrounds. Roles are not remunerated although reasonable expenses will be covered.
